In 2016, Blind Vaysha, a short animation based on Gospodinov’s short story (director Theodore Ushev; ARTE and NFB Canada), was widely awarded on festivals in Annecy, Ottawa, Sao Paolo and was an OSCAR Academy Award nominee for 2017.
The film tells the story of a girl who sees the past out of her left eye and the future from her right - and so is unable to live in the present.
