This is Georgi Gospodinov’s second poetry book and one of the most important poetry collections of the 1990s. Published in 1996, the book has had several editions and was chosen as Book of the Year by the Association of Bulgarian Writers. It reflects on what happened and what did not happen in Bulgarian history. Here, the name of his later character and alter ego, Gaustin, appears for the first time.
